Railway safety remains a critical challenge, particularly in preventing accidents caused by pedestrian intrusions, animals, and signal misinterpretation.
Our research introduces an AI-powered real-time railway monitoring system built using YOLOv8 for high-accuracy object detection.

  • Custom railway dataset collection and annotation

  • ROI filtering & Non-Maximum Suppression (NMS)
  • Achieved 94.5% mAP with optimized inference speed
